Learner's Licence Classes
Learner's License Classes
Our Learner's License Classes is an interactive electronic publication of the South Africa K53 Driver education material featuring 3D simulations as well as all learner driver contents to our new learner driver's and what they need to pass their South African Learner's and Driver's License test first time.
This electronic program fully illustrate and explain in detail the meaning of all South African rules of the road, road signs, signals and road markings, vehicle control, defensive driving and all about the K53 system.
Too pass any test you must prepare well. The learner's license and K53 driving license test are no exception. This is why it is important to prepare properly, using the best teaching material available.
The Spokesperson for Traffic Services, Searle Johannes, said poor training and lack of preparation were the main reasons for the low pass rate in the province. The test has rigid guidelines against which the applicants are assessed. These guidelines are provided by the national Department of Transport and are applicable nationally.
Quite a number of people have the attitude that driving is simple and as soon as they have mastered the principle of clutch control they believe they will pass the test, which is far from the truth. First of all you need to get your Learner's License, which is not easy. There is no easy way out, we all have to go threw the correct and same procedure.
Too many are seeking illegitimate means of getting their licenses and these individuals are presenting a risk to all other road users. Too many users need to go back and redo the Learner's and/or Driver's Test. Due to not understanding the meaning of the unknown or simply because they studied from a manual or DVD that just gave them the raw facts with-out-explaining the information in an easy-to-understand way.

3. Statistics shown: License / Learner Applications
This was a pass rate of 39.3%
3.1) there had been 1.95 million applications for learner's licenses of which 1.07 million had been issued or a pass rate of just more than 55%
3.2) 1.2 million Applications for driving licenses had been made during 2006 and 474 320 had been issued.
4. Discovery:
4.1) The Western Cape's pass rate is 35.13% while applicants in Gauteng have been the most successful with a pass rate of 46.58%. The poorest pass rate is in the Free State which is 31.23%
4.2) The Spokesperson for Traffic Services in the province, Searl Johannes, said poor training and lack of preparation were the main reasons for the low pass rate in the province.

7.1) An over-confident attitude, assuming that as long as you can use the vehicle controls to drive, steer, stop and park, you're home and dry. "WRONG"!! The K53 testing system places a lot of emphasis on a special system of defensive driving. The K53 procedures differ from manoeuvre to manoeuvre. To learn about these K53 procedures you need to attend our classroom so that you know, in theory, what you must do during the test. Then learn how to put that understanding into practice by taking driving lessons.
7.2) Not understanding that the days are over when mom or dad could teach you to drive. At some stage of your preparation you will need to take driving lessons with a suitably qualified and registered driving instructor.
7.2a) The knowledge you gain from our classroom will also help you assess whether you are getting your money's worth and whether the instructor has a good knowledge of the K53 system and the test system.
7.3) Nervousness/anxiety during driving lessons and then while doing the driving test. Most students are nervous during the test. A lot is at stake - the costs paid so far and the fear of having to pay more and do the test over at a later date; whether or not you will have the freedom of "wheels" after the test - for your own transport to and from work, or for recreation, for your job, and so on. But, just like with the learner's license test, you can reduce anxiety to a larger extent.
7.4) Should you want to take the tight steps. Here are suggestions; - Attend our classroom, and learn exactly what the test covers and how you will be scored. This will reduce the extent of the unknown, and it will help you know what you need to practice while you are learning to drive.
2. Where did the content for the Driver's section come from?
2.2) The content in the Driver's section is based on the Department of Transport. The module Step and Module Notes is the overviews are taken word-for-word from the DoT materials, but other descriptions and additional comments are our own, and once again any errors or omission are ours. The overview of the Official Driving is based on the same materials, and the specifications for the yard test are reproduced exactly. Permission to re-use road signs, signals, and marking images is also from the DoT. We'd like to thank the Department of Transport for their helpful co-operation, but make it clear that we do not represent them, nor do they necessarily endorse this product.
Road Safety in South Africa requires that we have legally licensed drivers on the roads. We approached our expert on Arrive Alive with regards to the K53 and Licensing - Gavin Hoole.

This can happen through no fault of your own, but simply because you studied from a manuaal or DVD that just fave you the raw facts, without explaining the information in an easy-to-understand way. or it could be that you ran out of time and did a quick swot of the information without really engaging your brain in regard to the understanding of what you were learning.
Our Classroom does indeed give you the understanding you need so that you can answer any question no matter how it is worde in the official test - because you truly know the work.

Where did the content for our electronic Classroom come from?
Most of the content in the Learner's section is based on the National Road Traffic Act of South Africa. Although we have obtained permission to reproduce the act (Copyright Authority No. 11363 dated 03 october 2006), in this version of our Classroom we have not reproduced any materials from the Act directly. All interpretation of the Act are our own, and we do not claim to represent the Goverment in any way, nor are they responsible for errors or omissions on our part.
